Although given an English title, the opera was sung in Italian.  The sets were apparently those used for the New York City Opera production with Sills in the title role of nearly 40 years ago. Unfortunately, the Maria, Angela Gilbert, was indisposed for the opening night and was replaced by Ermonela Jaho.  Overall. the opera was well received with Kate Aldrich as Elizabeth deemed a particular success although the other singers came in for a more mixed reception.
